My job now involves regular video presentations, so I am trying to choose a few tops specifically for those days. The mirror and the video preview give me different impressions, especially when a shirt contrasts strongly with my pale background. I would prefer comfortable everyday clothes, with enough visual balance that viewers can focus on my face during a presentation. Keeping the room setup unchanged should let me compare several solid-colored tops without confusing clothing differences with lighting changes. I found a page about color analysis and would like to use the idea as a starting point for these comparisons. I have ruled out narrow stripes for now, since the preview makes them distracting despite an otherwise comfortable fit. Would you judge the colors from a short recording rather than the live preview, or is either method equally useful? I cannot decide how much weight to give the background when a shirt seems reasonably flattering around my face. Suggestions for a repeatable comparison would help more than a list of colors that are supposed to suit everyone.
